Scope of supply of our pickling lines includes also equipment (assemblies) for removal of copper ions from the pickling liquor (solution of the problem of «copper film» on the surface of pickled rolled steel).

Pickling line consists of:

  • Input section:
    • Coil rack
    • Loading carriage
    • Dual decoiler system
      • Alternative operation of decoilers,coil weight 10 to 40 t
    • Cross-cutting and beveled cutting shears
      • for cutting the beaded edges of the strip
    • Butt-welding machine
      • Butt-welding machine is equipped with straightener rollers and performs lap welding of two coils' strip ends
    • Looping pit
    • Disc shears
      • Designed for cutting the strip side edges; shearings are cut up by scrap cutter
    • Straightening machine (stretch straightening machine)
    • Stretching rollers
    • Multistorey storage loop (accumulator)
    • Provides the strip stock for continuous operation of the process part in case the input section operates discontinuously with stops at 40–60 seconds' intervals.
  • Process part:
    • Strip pickling bath
      • Consists of four sections operating as cascades. Each pickling sections includes the following:
      • circulation loop with circulation tank,
      • pump
      • heat exchangers,
      • back line from the pickling section
    • Once the strip leaves the pickling bath, two sets of squeeze rollers squeeze it out.
      • Double section for strip washing
        • The section is divided into two steps and operates by cascade method, in counter-flow to the strip movement direction. Squeeze rollers are provided between each washing section; they reduce the washout of washing water from one section to the other.
    • Strip drying section
      • The washing section is followed by the strip drying machine with edges blow-off device.
    • Machines for strip transfer to pickling, washing and drying sections.
      • Drive transport and squeeze rollers are used for transportation.
    • Reagents and solutions storage tanks
    • Local exhaust system
      • The pickling bath, washing and storage tanks are connected to the exhaust system. The exhaust system is equipped with a scrubber and two droplet separators to purify exhaust fumes.
  • Exit section:
    • Strip feeding device
      • Located after the strip drying section
    • Multistorey storage loop (accumulator)
      • It serves as a material accumulator in case of shutdown or compensation at various strip speeds in separate line sections.
    • A feeding device with a mechanical side guide (strip alignment system)
    • Stretch straightening machine (machine for straightening by stretching)
    • Inspection stand
    • Strip electrostatic oiling unit (strip oiler)
    • Strip oiler unit
      • The strip oiler is designed for applying preservative compound to the strip; after that, the front strip end is supplied to the tension reel.
    • Dual tension reel for finished strip (coiler)
      • It is equipped with control system that makes it possible to wind into coils with preset weight and uniform edges
    • Cross-cutting shears for finished strip
    • Overhead crane
      • Designed for piling the finished coils
    • Tilting cradles for finished coils
    • Finished coils rack
